2. Giants 7 did anyone think the Giants would be this good?
3. Rockies 8 close to where I predicted. Ha!
4. Dbacks 18.5 I did not think the D Backs would be this bad
5. Padres 19
Ok this will be a 3 team race between the Rockies, Diamondbacks, and Dodgers. The Dodgers will fall around July August but still be in it enough to make a deadline aquisition. They will ultimately fall.
The pitching only got better, the youngsters only got older. Maturity will be their guide
Remember them, they are back. They may be Matt Holliday less but I still expect them to compete. They have tons of great hitting and pitching. I can’t wait for everyone to see them breakout. Huston Street will breakout again this season.
I am not as in love with their offense as everyone else is. Rameriz, Eithier and Loney are the only locks in this lineup. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Loney have a breakout year. Casey Blake is overrated and we will see that in what is one of the few years he will be a starter all year. Where is the pitching? They need to pick up 2 starters who will eat innings.
What people don’t realize is that the Padres have the best pitching in the division and they are hungry to prove people wrong. Adrian Gonzalez is a great player.
Offense? Bengie Molina is their best player and that isnt saying much at all. Aaron Rowand is overpaid and overrated. Their pitching is overrated. Randy Johnson doesnt have enough left in the tank to be on a competitive team. That said, Cain and Lincecum are solid #1’s but I question if they should trade one of them for some offense in the way the A’s did with Danny Haren.
